Description
Come join us!
On Saturday (05.09.2026) at 5:00 PM, we invite you to the event: “MELA MUTER. A Story of Life and Art from the FOLTA Collection. Masterpieces of École de Paris Painting from the Private Collection of the Mr and Mrs Folta.”
The meeting will be dedicated to one of the most important and distinct figures of the École de Paris – Mela Muter (Maria Melania Mutermilch).
During the event, we will explore the painter’s fascinating life, her rich body of work, and the artistic independence she forged within the Parisian avant-garde scene of the early 20th century.
The highlight of the program will be a unique opportunity to view the artist’s works up close—two original paintings by Muter will be displayed on easels in the FOLTA Collection space.
We invite you to listen, learn, and join the conversation!
This event precedes a comprehensive monographic exhibition at Villa la Fleur in Konstancin-Jeziorna, which will also feature a masterpiece from the private collection of the Folta family.
